Full-stack product scopeFull-stack development across web, native mobile and desktop: interfaces, backend logic, APIs and data workflows.Builds full-stack web apps, including backend, data and authentication. It is more than a frontend generator.
Framework choiceChoose frontend and backend frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue, Svelte, NestJS, Django and Go, plus native mobile options. Its FAQ prescribes TanStack Start for newer apps and React + Vite for older projects; choosing another framework requires work outside Lovable.
Native mobileFlutter, React Native, Swift and native Android are supported mobile targets. Choose the native stack that fits the project. The FAQ says it does not generate native apps or React Native projects. It describes PWAs or external wrappers for installable web apps.
Desktop applicationsDedicated desktop applications are part of the Cocoding product scope, alongside web and mobile projects. The reviewed product scope centers on web applications. Native desktop generation is not a documented target in these sources.

Choose the platform around the whole product

A founder may need a public website, a customer-facing native app and a desktop tool for an operations team. Cocoding brings those targets into its product scope, with a choice of web, backend and mobile frameworks. That breadth matters when the next version needs more than the web interface you started with.

  • Choose Flutter, React Native, Swift or native Android for the mobile requirement.
  • Include the backend, permissions and shared data in the brief.
  • Use the 320+ template library as a starting point, then verify the selected template’s setup.

The concrete distinction: stack and native targets

Lovable is a full-stack web builder. Its current FAQ also gives a clear boundary: it prescribes the app stack and does not generate native React Native projects. If framework choice and native mobile are core requirements, Cocoding’s broader scope belongs near the top of your shortlist.

  • A responsive web preview is different from a native app project.
  • Lovable remains a relevant option when its prescribed web stack fits.
  • Review source portability, connected services and publishing conditions for either tool.

Evaluate a product with two real surfaces

Try a customer service app with a web administration screen and a native mobile customer flow. Use sample data, define a permission boundary and ask for the required framework explicitly. Inspect the generated source and the test result rather than relying on a screenshot of a phone.

  • Test the same record from the web and mobile journeys.
  • Confirm which runtime and device tools the chosen target needs.
  • Record usage, remaining setup and handoff requirements before committing.

A starting point

Make the brief specific.

Adapt this example to your business. Keep sample data separate from real customer information.

Plan a service business product with a web admin app and a native Flutter customer app. Include a shared backend API, appointment records and separate customer/admin permissions. Start with sample data. Explain the framework choices, secret configuration and device-testing requirements. Build one testable booking journey first.

No. Cocoding’s scope includes full-stack web development, backend logic and data workflows, native mobile with Flutter, React Native, Swift and native Android, and dedicated desktop applications.

Does Lovable generate native React Native apps?

Its current FAQ says it does not. It describes mobile-friendly web apps, PWAs and external wrapping as different paths. The linked official source explains that boundary.
